Quail Quest

As part of their award-winning program called “Quail Quest,” the National Institute for the Family and Protection of Children has ranked Quail Run Behavioral Health as one of Pennsylvania’s Best Child Care Providers. The institute’s research-based approach to treating childhood behavioral disorders. The developmental disabilities in Pennsylvania’s public school system have produced some remarkable results. Health Children Program

The Case Teams referred children to a quail-run behavioral health program. Each case is reviewed by an inpatient doctor as well as a psychiatrist and social worker. All three team members work together to develop a personalized treatment plan for each child. It may include family intervention, individualized education, social skills therapy, and medication. In some cases, the child will go into outpatient treatment as well.

The goal of this program is to identify the causes of disruptive behaviors that are disruptive life.  Treatment teams try to find the underlying cause by working with the patient on a variety of different levels. BHPS

They provide the most comprehensive behavioral health care for children as two years ago. These experts are licensed at the Pennsylvania Department of Health. The program is highly regarded for the effectiveness it offers to its patients. One of the unique aspects of the program is that it offers inpatient treatment only.

The program works with children who have a range of behavioral disorders. Some of these disorders include oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, and oppositional defiant disorder with anti-social behavior, ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder), and other disorders. The goal of the Quail Run BHPS program is to help children achieve lifelong goals through the effective use of behavior modification techniques.

Behavioral Health care

Inpatient services at a Quail Run BHPS can range from six months to one year. During this time, children will be evaluated on a variety of issues including nutritional needs, emotional issues, and the potential for drug abuse. This type of intensive and long-term care is particularly valuable for children who suffer from serious emotional conditions and need to be placed in an environment that will allow them to work out any issues they have with their emotions. The primary goal of a treatment program for children in this age group is to ensure that they grow into responsible adults who are capable of functioning in a community setting.

An additional benefit of a Quail Run behavioral health center is that they allow parents to see their children regularly. Many times, children in treatment stay longer in the program because they are receiving specialized care.
