Navitus Health Solutions Review
Navitus Health Solutions is a private company that promotes health for seniors and those at risk of contracting age-related diseases. It was founded by Dr. Ray Bergman, who is a practicing family physician with a practice in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The company was initially
formed in 1997, and has thus far focused their efforts on offering comprehensive senior health care products and services to customers in Florida and Maryland. There are now several hundred locations in seven states, and more are expected to be added in the near future. Most
of the stores are located in shopping centers or bazaars, though there are also stores found in some high-end restaurants. The company’s primary product is Navitas Senior Care, which is a supplement designed to improve the quality of life of seniors with varying conditions.
Navitas Health Solutions distributors can get access to a variety of benefits through a variety of plans. One of their plans is the Pharmacy Benefits Management Plan (PBMP), which helps pharmacists help patients manage and reduce their healthcare needs. The PBMP program was developed as a collaborative effort between major pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies, and state agencies to provide direct access to prescription drug coverage. Navitas is one of fourteen companies that are members of the program.
According to the PBMP, ” pharmacies must participate in a multi-line drug coverage plan in order to offer coverage to patients. Participating pharmacies must provide a list of approved drug manufacturers that manufacture drugs on file with the PBMP. In addition, participating
pharmacies must participate in a uniform contract that provides basic pharmaceutical policy information and reimbursement procedures.” Eligibility requirements for these companies vary by state.
In order to be a successful PBMP member, participating pharmacies must meet certain criteria. These criteria generally include meeting quality standards as determined by the National Institute of Health and being in good financial standing. If a company meets these requirements, it will be considered a “growing pharmacy,” which means it must generate an annual amount of revenue that is at least five percent of its overall drug sales volume.
According to Navitus Health Solutions, “the Navitus Health Solutions pharmacy benefits manager is responsible for ensuring that the company’s drugstores meet the criteria. This includes ensuring that drug reps are properly trained in how to answer questions from customers about different prescription drug coverage plans, as well as in how to handle customer questions and concerns regarding their drug purchasing.” The primary goal is to ensure that customers receive the best possible prescription drug coverage available at a reasonable price. Navitus Health Solutions also works closely with national and local drug representatives to increase sales and build long-term client relationships.
Drug representatives are required to complete a one-year training and certification program to become an NRI. During this time, they are required to successfully pass a comprehensive written exam that covers key subjects such as the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and the Physician Advertising Quality and Security Act (PAQSA). After completing the training, drug reps must successfully pass a three-part qualifying exam – the PCRT, the AQI, and the IRT. All of the qualifying drug reps must be enrolled in a Navitus Health Solutions program to participate. Navitus representatives are also required to complete a year of
service with a local or state drug agency in order to qualify.
What does Navitus Health Solutions do to ensure that their agents are properly trained? Navitus Health Solutions provides oversight and consulting services to their representatives. The company works closely with the four major pharmaceutical companies to provide the most
current prescription drug coverage available. For every new member, the company annually conducts in-person quality audits and quality checks. These audits cover a wide variety of areas, such as recordkeeping, compliance procedures, training, and fraud detection.
Although Navitus Health Solutions has the experience and expertise needed to train and monitor their representatives, they do not utilize all of the resources available to them. Instead, the company relies on over 500 pharmaceutical specialists and consultants nationwide to ensure
that all of their representatives are properly trained and ready to help with all of your needs. If you are interested in receiving prescription drug coverage in Navitus Health Solutions, we would like to offer you a free consultation. Please contact us at anytime for more information
