Dr. Kayla Simmons
Dr. Kayla Simmons, also an obstetrician-gynecologist at Lexington Women’s Health is an expert in cancer prevention and treatment. She enjoys spending time with her patients and looks forward to helping them build a trusting relationship through effective communication. She has two Masters degrees, one in Social Work and one in Nursing. Before coming to Lexington, she worked at Kentucky State University as an ER doctor. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, hiking, and volunteering at the local Women’s Cancer Center.
Dr. Amy Grant
Dr. Amy Grant, a board-certified nurse practitioner, is a native of Louisville. She enjoys spending time with her patients and treating them with kindness. She graduated from nursing school and completed her four-year residency in gastroenterology, internal medicine, women’s health, and pediatrics at the University of Louisville. She enjoys helping women with chronic conditions, high blood pressure, fibromyalgia, arthritis, and obesity.
Dr. Amy Gutman
Dr. Amy Gutman is a board-certified nurse midwife and a practicing maternal-child physician. She serves her area with the Family Services of Eastern Kentucky (FSAK) and the Fertility Treatment Centers of KY. She loves her patients and looks forward to helping them improve their lives through appropriate medical care. Amy loves her career as a nurse-midwife because it allows her the opportunity to help women have babies and provide care for their biological children. She enjoys spending time with pregnant women, children, and their families.
Dr. David Grisaffi
Dr. David Grisaffi is a board-certified obstetrician and family practitioner. He served for twelve years in the Kentucky State Medical Department and currently practices in Lexington. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Grisaffi enjoys spending time with patients and seeing them succeed. He enjoys educating colleagues about healthy relationships and helping couples develop an open and trusting relationship. He enjoys providing a minimally invasive treatment option for patients who prefer to wait to have a baby.
Dr. Kevin Donnelly
Dr. Kevin Donnelly is a board-certified nurse anesthesiologist and medical director of the Pain Management in Kentucky program at St. John’s College of Nursing. He enjoys spending time with patients and discussing issues such as anxiety and depression, smoking and addiction, healthy relationships, and pain management. He enjoys being able to give his patients a safe and effective treatment option and has had a successful year raising funds for the St. John’s College School of Nursing. Dr. Donnelly is very passionate about educating other doctors about
safe anesthesia and promoting quality patient care.
Dr. James C. Shelley
Dr. James C. Shelley is a Board Certified Physician in orthopedic surgery and he is currently the Acting Director of the Shock Trauma unit in the Louisville Veterans Affairs hospital. He enjoys treating burn victims, trauma patients who are experiencing muscle injuries. Dr. Shelley loves helping people and is looking forward to getting back to work in the next few months following his transfer to Lexington from Maryland. He feels that as a professional service provider, he can help serve the Lexington area better while still working on his main job.
